 2018 Wilderness First Aid (WFA) Training

WHO NEEDS IT?
If you are more than 30 minutes from a medical facility, at least one leader must be WFA Trained.


When:

Friday, May 4:  6:00:9:00
Saturday, May 5: 11 8:30 -5:00

Saturday, May 12: 8:30 - 5:00

Where:

435 Comfort Lane, Bozeman MT 
(From Huffine, go SOUTH on Gooch Hill. Turn RIGHT on Comfort Lane (second street past Stucky Rd.). Turn LEFT at intersection to stay on Comfort Lane. Second house on the LEFT (tan with red trim).


OTHER:
  • Wear Field Uniform for Friday/Saturday morning
  • Wear Activity Uniform (Class B) beginning Saturday before lunch
  • Lunch is provided
  • Must attend all 3 days for certification

Course Fee:
$75 New Certifications/ $40 Recertification

Books:

New students select their preferred book. The current edition of the FIELD GUIDE is a handy reference suitable for taking in your backpack. It is spiral bound with water resistant pages. The Wilderness First Aid - 4th edition is a paperback textbook with more pictures and in-depth information. Students select their book choice on the registration form.

Description: 
The Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course will help you prepare for the unexpected. This fast paced, hands-on training is designed to meet the needs of Scout Leaders, camp staff, outdoor enthusiasts and individuals working in remote locations. It will introduce you to caring for people who become ill or injured far from definitive medical care. Classroom lectures and demonstrations are combined with realistic scenarios where mock patients will challenge you to integrate your learning. At the end of the course, you’ll have the knowledge, skills and ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.
Taught by seasoned instructors in a two or two and a half day format, this course includes many advanced topics:

Registration Instructions 

1) Complete the below website registration form to hold your spot for 30 days pending payment.
2)  Print and complete one registration form per participant. 
3)  Mail registration form and payment within 30 days.
4)  Registration will remain open until filled, and a waiting list will be kept. The course is expected to fill-up quickly. Registration closes March 15th and all payments must be received by April 1.
