BLAST DESCRIPTION:
This training takes your on-line training to the next level with hands-on activities, demonstrations, and practical tools for making the Scouting program program come alive. You will experience a month in the life of a Pack starting with the Committee meeting, to the Den Meeting plans, Pack Meeting, and finishing up with the Committee. You will understand how things really work. This training will ACCELERATE your success as a leader, and we guarantee it will be fun!
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
This training is for all leaders in any position: Cub Master, Committee Chair, Committee members, Den Leaders, and Charter Organization Representative.
WHAT WILL WE LEARN?
This high-energy, hands-on class ties all the pieces of scouting together and it is delivered by experienced Scouters.
1. How do the three parts of the Scouting structure (Pack Leaders, Committee members, Charter Organization) work together?
2. What resources are available to make my job easier?
3. What are shortcuts, tips, and best practices for Cub Scout leaders?
There will be time for Q & A to cover everything you want to ask about (from the on-line training).
IMPORTANT: TAKE YOUR ON-LINE TRAINING FIRST IF YOU CAN
On-line training is helpful, and all leaders should take the on-line training for their position before coming to this course.
All Leaders - Take THIS IS SCOUTING
Cub Leaders (including Committee)- Take the training for your position.
You should have created an account in https://my.scouting.org/ to take Youth Protection. To take other training, sign back in and go to your DASHBOARD. Then navigate to TRAINING CENTER (see image below) and take the training for your position. It is a bit tricky - so here is a video that shows exactly how to get to the new training.
