District Committee Greetings -
October Already

Hello all,

Now it is Fall. Scouts are selling Popcorn. Snow is falling outside even though it is early October.

Many wonderful things are happening here in Mountain Valley. We have already met our membership goal for this year and we have 3 more months to go. We have also already me our annual fund raising (ICL) goal. We have 2 Explorer posts started, and our leaders are getting trained and delivering fantastic programming. As we head into Fall, I am grateful for all the blessing of our District and Council. Thank you to the wonderful leaders and our industrious District Executive for making Scouting here in the Gallatin Valley something to celebrate.

If you have not looked a the list of needed positions, please take a glance. The position I am highlighting is Scout Week Chairman. This is a fun job - you get to judge Scout windows and promote celebrating Scouting. This person also promotes the Scouting for Food event, working with stores to arrange for Scouts to collect food for the community. It is a job that happens, and then is done. That means you feel great and have filled a Scout need without signing up for a year-long position. If you think this is important, please contact me and we can talk!

Happy Fall!
