2015 Mountain Valley District Pinewood Derby
Cub Scouts remember their Pinewood Derby experiences long after they finish Scouting. Take this great opportunity to build skills, learn to compete, and do it all with a smile and cheerful attitude.
Pinewood Derby Details
Place: Ridgeview Elementary School, Belgrade (Same place as Cub Scout Day Camp 2014)
Date: March 28, 2015
Time: Check-In: 8:00 A.M. – 10:30 A.M.
Who:
Race Schedule: Start at 11:00 A.M. (Race time and check-in time may vary.)
Award Details:
MVD Cub Scout Class: Cub Scouts will race 4 heats, 2 heats on a 35 ft. track with 15 minute break, then 2 heats on a 42 ft. track. Trophies are awarded 1st through 5th place for speed. All Cub Scouts race together. Trophies awarded for best scout spirit, most artistic, and Cub Scouts choice.
MVD Open Class: Open Class racers will run 4 heats on 42 ft. track. Trophies awarded 1st through 3rd place in speed.
The Loop Track: All MVD Cub Scouts and open class will race together 1 heat. Trophies awarded 1st place for speed and last place - you must make it across the finish line. ATTENTION! Do not enter the loop track race if you are afraid of damage to car.

- Open class open to all (No matter your age: Boy Scouts, Venture Scouts, Parents, Everybody Welcome)
