The MVD website is important to Mountain Valleys communication. Our current site, mvdmt.org, has been great for nearly 10 years. We have waited to move MVD to the Council site when we could maintain the same or better function for our leaders as what we have on our current website. Good news – that day is here. In some ways, moving to the Montana Council website will be an improvement. Registration is better and we can collect money. Also, when you go to the Mountain Valley District site, now located at https://montanabsa.org/mountain-valley/, you will see not only our information, but important information from Montana Council. It is an overall win.
Like any change, the new site is different. Some things you will notice:
If you have questions or suggestions regarding our new site, please contact me. I am very happy with the Montana Council support, and they are committed to making the site work to support our communications and remove some of the work from us. That is one of the biggest advantages to this change. I will be sharing more information about how to submit calendar items and news posts as this change goes forward.

Like any change, the new site is different. Some things you will notice:
- The Calendar is BlackPug rather than Google. It is easy to link your calendar. Just click “subscribe” and follow the directions. (see image above)
- We have no moving banner on the new site, but we will be working to post news articles on the individual Eagle Scouts and use the MVD Spotlight next to the calendar to highlight important things.
- Search feature is site-wide, but that may be good because you will be accessing wider sources of activities, news, and resources.
