The weather was wonderful and the smiles were big for these June 18-19th Cub Scout events. We had 60 youth at Day Camp, both Scouts and guest youth, fishing, shooting BB guns, doing cool experiments, navigating obstacles, and much more. Twenty-five Scouts along with their parents spent the night at Three Forks Ponds on Friday earning their Bear Necessities Adventure. They put up tents to sleep in overnight, cooked dinner in foil packets, learned how to make a Dutch Oven Dessert, and then were part of a campfire.
A big appreciation to Day Camp Director Diane Stovall, Carol Matthews, District Executive Julie Evans, and all the leaders who helped make Day Camp and Bear Rendezvous a great day for Scouting.
