Youth Protection Training (YPT) on ZoomYouth Protection Training (YPT) is an on-demand class that you can take anytime through our my.scouting training portal, but we offer this class if you prefer a live trainer and the opportunity to ask questions. YPT must be completed EVERY year for Montana Scouters. You have two opportunities to take the class:
Option 1: Tuesday, September 7 Option 2: Wednesday, October 13 Time: 7:00 - 9:00 pm This class has interactive testing elements, so please download the ZOOM application on your device so you can take polls throughout the session. The meeting is approximately 2-hours depending on the number of participants and questions. This class is open to all Montana Scouters, so sign-up in on the Montana Council Website under the Screen Boosted Scouting Happening Live area. If you have any questions, please let me know! Other YPT OptionsIf you have a group of Scouters, or perhaps would like to hold a training for your unit, here are ways you can train several people at once:
Use BSA On-Line Training Have the organizer (such as the Unit Leader or Committee Chair) use their my.scouting portal to show the BSA on-line YPT class. Have everyone sign-in using an attendance roster, and send the completed roster to me. Request a Live Training If you have 4 or more people and would like to have a trainer come to you, please let me know. We are always happy to help you get trained!
