| A little wind and rain did not dampen the spirits of our cub scouts at the Rain Gutter Regatta August 15th at the River Rock Ponds. We had 18 participants including a couple non-scouts. They sanded, painted, decorated and then raced their boats. The wind helped move the boats right along the course and they enjoyed some ice cream at the end. Thanks to all who helped! | |

Racing is something that is thrilling, however, there is just no way that it is safe. Sure, there are people who think that racing is okay, but I just do not see any way to have complete security when racing. It is a thrilling and fun sport, but it is all because of the danger that comes from doing it. I really hope that I see racing a lot less often now. I want to see racing as a rare scenario.
